The hurling season is starting to wrap up

LIXNAW and Kilmoyley will contest the final of the Garvey’s SuperValu County Senior Hurling Championsh­ip [Corn Neilus Ó Floinn] following semi-final victories last weekend over Causeway and Ballyduff respective­ly. The final is scheduled for Sunday week, 26 August. Both have been relatively recent winners of the title – Lixnaw in 2014 and Kilmoyley in 2016.

COUNTY INTERMEDIA­TE HURLING CHAMPIONSH­IP

THE Final of the 2018 County Intermedia­te Hurling Championsh­ip between Kilgarvan and Causeway is fixed for this Saturday, 18 August at 5pm. The venue will be Lewis Road, Killarney

COUNTY LEAGUE DIVISION 2

ST. Brendan’s qualified for the Final of the Credit Union County Senior Hurling League Division 2 with a 3-15 to 2-13 away win over Kenmare on Friday evening last. St. Brendan’s go on to play Causeway in the final.

COUNTY MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSH­IP

THE last of the Round 1 games will take place on this Thursday, 16 August at 6.30p,m. Kenmare / Kilgarvan take on Ballyheigu­e/ Causeway at Kilgarvan (extra time if necessary).

The first of the semi-finals between Tralee Parnell’s and Abbeydorne­y will be played on this Saturday, 18 August at 3pm in Kilmoyley. The second semi-final between St. Brendan’s and the winners of the Round 1 tie above will be played on Tuesday, 21 August at 6.30p.m. Details will be available at www.kerrygaa.ie

NORTH Kerry Under 15 ‘B’ Championsh­ip results: Ballyduff w.o. Crotta scr.; Tralee Parnell’s 2 - 12 Lixnaw 0 - 6; St. Brendan’s 3 - 7 Tralee Parnell’s 2 - 7. Both Under 15 Finals are scheduled for Saturday, 1 September.

NORTH Kerry Under 13 ‘B’ Championsh­ip Round 5 fixtures for Tuesday next, 21 August, 6.30pm CAUSEWAY v Ballyheigu­e; Abbeydorne­y v Lixnaw; Tralee Parnell’s bye. The final is fixed for Tuesday, 28 August.

THE Under-13 ‘A’ Championsh­ip [Jack & Mike Galvin Memorial Shield] between St. Brendan’s and Ballyduff will be played on Tuesday, 21 August, 6.30pm. [venue to be confirmed].

THE North Kerry Under-16 competitio­ns begin on Sunday, 9 September while Round 1 of the North Kerry Senior Hurling Championsh­ip is fixed for Friday, August 31. Check the North Kerry Hurling Board Facebook page for all up to date fixtures and results.
