KILCUMMIN
KILCUMMIN LOOKING GOOD
We would urge everybody to refrain from dumping litter on our roads; the most common items seem to be cigarette boxes, drink cartons, plastic bottles, cans, etc. It’s great to see so many people taking pride in the appearance of Kilcummin and making a big effort in cleaning up the area. The appearance of the village has been commented on in a very positive way by many and a big thanks to the people who have put the time and effort in. Míle Buíochas.

KILCUMMIN COMHALTAS
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 Drogheda: The old phrase of “all the world’s a stage” certainly rang through for comhaltas members the length & breath of the country as Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 Drogehda reach its pinnicle last weekend and it certinaly didn’t disappoint.
To say the standards were high would be an understatement and nothing less than we would expect from the culmination of competition of regional finals to provincial and this, the national finals. Kilcummin comhaltas dancers were to the fore front of success on this national stage, achieving an extraordinary five first place finishes and three third place finishes. An outstanding success form the eight dancing groups that participated over the fleadh weekend and a justified return form the hard work, perseverance and talent of all the dancers and trainers and without a doubt, their all supportive families. We also had some outstanding musicians representing the branch in Drogheda and although ultimate success evaded them on this occasion they flew the flag for the branch and indeed the parish with their usual air of assurance, ability and proficiency. On reflection the branch would like to take this opportunity to thank all those members who competed along the way and allowed themselves to be adjudicated in various disciplines, to strive for success on their own behalf and on behalf of Kilcummin Comhaltas.
We look forward with great anticipation and confidence to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 Drogheda.
