MASTERGEEHA FC

U13 DIV 2: Dingle 6 Mastergeeha 2. The boys made the long trip to west Kerry on Saturday. In the game the home side were much stronger but the boys battled hard with Jack O’Brien and Barry Collins getting the goals.

U15: Mastergeeha 4 Fenit 4. In this entertaining game the visitors started the better and were two goals up after 10 minutes. Just before the break Mastergeeha got a goal back when Donagh Fahy scored. In the second half the scoring continued with Darra O’Callaghan, Darra Fitzgerald and Mark O’Shea scoring for Mastergeeha.

U17: Tralee Dynamos 6 Mastergeeha 3. The score really doesn’t reflect the way the match unfolded as Geeha had a number of great chances throughout, hitting the woodwork twice only to come away empty handed against a good Tralee team. They found themselves 4-1 down at HT as Dynamos scored 3 fortunate goals before Paudie Murphy slotted home after being put through by Ian O’ Connor. Darragh O’Riordan kept his goal scoring run going as he volleyed home from 6 yards early in the 2nd half but the home team replied to take control again. Ian O’Connor finished the scoring when he showed great control and skill to volley home after a good ball from Philip O’Leary. A great effort by all involved with Daniel Herlihy outstanding at the back.

SENIORS: Mastergeeha 0 Mainebank 3. In the opening half Mastergeeha played the better soccer but where a goal down at the break. James Nagle and Jer Sheehan had the best chances for the home side. In the second half Mastergeeha continued to push but Mainebank defended well and scored late on.
