IRISH PILGRIMAGE TRUST

The Irish Pilgrimage Trust are now accepting applications for their Easter Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Young people aged 1130 years with a variety of special needs including physical and medical conditions, learning difficulties or a young person who may have experienced some challenge in their life are all eligible to apply. This pilgrimage provides respite care for parents and guardians and a free trip for the young person. The closing date for applications is the 31 st of October. COMMUNITY GAMES AGM

The AGM of Currow/Currans Community Games will take place on Thursday, 25 October at 7.30pm in Currow Community Centre. All welcome especially those interested in sports, arts and music events, we would like to develop more opportunities to enter your child’s talent in Community Games categories.

PIETA COFFEE MORNING

A coffee morning will be held in aid of Pieta House in the Killarney Avenue Hotel on Saturday, 27 October from 9am to 12 midday. Organised in memory of John Broderick, Currow.

HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING:

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will hold a blood donor clinic in The Brandon Hotel, Tralee Monday 5pm-8.30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm on 22 to 25 October.

ANAMCARA

Anam Cara is committed to continue offering all our services at no charge to bereaved parents and families throughout Ireland. Anam Cara’s main fundraising event for 2018 is our national bag pack in conjunction with Dunnes Stores. We are looking for some supportive volunteers who would consider helping us for a couple of hours on Saturday, 24 November at Dunnes Stores, North Circular Road, Tralee between 10am-6pm. The annual indoor market organised by Kerry Parents and Friends will take place in Castleisland Community Centre on Friday, 9 November. Collectors will be calling door to door over the coming weeks.

DEATHS

The death occurred of Mrs Mary Walsh late of Currans and London.

Hannah Devane (nee McKenna) Tralee and Ballyferriter. Deepest sympathy is extended to family, extended family and friends. May their gentle souls rest in peace.
