CROKE PARK

We are currently one of the five named charities of the GAA for 2018. We have received a grant for €20,000 earlier in the year and we were again invited to Croke Park on Saturday to receive a further €3500 after another event the staff held. The five named charities met on Saturday last and got to meet the fantastic team in the GAA who have raised much needed funds for the charities. We are so very grateful and so proud to be associated with the GAA for the year. We would also like to thank our patron Katie Hannon who was there on the day.

AFTERNOON TEA

It was a very special day for the staff and the patients of the Day Care Susimhneas Centre last week. Claire Scally and her fabulous team from The Royal Hotel hosted an afternoon tea for patients and staff. Both were treated to amazing food and refreshments and it was a lovely way for all to spend the afternoon. Not only did they host the afternoon tea but they also donated a beautiful piano to the Palliative Care service which got its first use yesterday during the afternoon tea. A huge gesture and one that we are so very grateful for. A huge thank you to Claire Scally and her family and all the staff who are always great supporters of the Kerry Hospice Foundation and all the Palliative Care services. It was was a very special day for all involved and the piano will provide many hours of entertainment in the future.
