HALLOWEEN CAMP
Scartaglen Childcare Centre are holding a Halloween Camp on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday October 30, 31 and November 1 from 9.30 am 1pm and is for 3-6 year olds. Full day care is available from 8am to 6pm. There will be plenty of games and activities to keep the children busy. Halloween outfits can be worn to the camp. CANCER COLLECTION
The recent annual church gate collection in aid of the Irish Cancer Society which was held in Scartaglen realised the sum of E335. A word of thanks again to all who contributed and to Noreen Riordan and Sheila McEnery of Barna who helped to take up this collection.
GAA LOTTO DRAW
Scartaglen GAA Clubs latest Lotto Draw took place in Hughes’ Bar on Saturday night last. The jackpot of E4,800 was not won. Numbers drawn were: 15, 18, 25, 28. Consolation prizewinners in the Lucky Dip draw were as follows: E40 Anna Kerins, Knockrour ; E30 Sean Kerins, Carker ; Mike Murphy, Mount ; E20 Pat Kerins, Knockrour ; Kathleen Horan, Coolnageragh ; Mary O Leary, Knockrour. The next draw will take place in Lyons Bar on November 11th when the jackpot will be E5,000.
INDOOR MARKET
The annual Indoor Market organised by the Kerry Parents and Friends will take place in Castleisland Community Centre on Friday November 9. Collectors will be calling door to door over the coming weeks.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

The 2018/19 Vaccine is now available in pharmacies nationwide and experts here advises that the key to avoiding infection is getting the vaccine done early this year.

The above heading is the title of Alison McGaleys first album, and it will be launched at The River Island Hotel Castleisland on Friday November 2nd. Supporting the launch night will be Eddie Lee and James Kelliher along with Noreen Ashe and Mike Condon. Dancing commences at 9.30pm and admission is €10. It’s all for a very good cause too as all proceeds will go towards the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus.
