1. TABLE QUIZ IN IRISH FOR PIETA HOUSE

PIETA House is set to be the main beneficiar­y from an upcoming novelty table quiz on Wednesday October 24.

The entire quiz will be held entirely in Irish and will take place in the Ashe Hotel in Tralee; It will cost €20 for a table of four on the night so if you’re around the area, call in and show your support for a wonderful cause.

2. CHARITY QUIZ IN NED NATTERJACK­S BAR

A TABLE quiz in aid of the chemo-cancer unit at University Hospital Kerry (UHK) will take place in Ned Natterjack­s bar in Castlegreg­ory on Friday October 26 at 9pm.

A table of 4 will cost just €20 and all are invited to come and support this very worthy cause.

3. MOYVANE PREPS FOR ANNUAL VILLAGE FESTIVAL

THE 26th Moyvane Village Festival will be held over the Bank Holiday Weekend with a whole host of activities taking place over the weekend.

Friday kicks off with the Rambling House at 9pm, a Boro Buffet at 7:30pm on Saturday and a family fun day which starts at 12pm on Sunday.

The family fun day entails vintage displays, mini trade fair, a farmers market in the community centre and a childrens tractor run in the school grounds at 2pm.

4. ‘HALLOWEEN HOWL’ TO BE HEARD IN KENMARE

A ‘HALLOWEEN’ Howl will be heard in Kenmare this weekend with a great number of activities for all the family.

Taking place on Friday October 26 until Saturday November 3, there will be a family fun day on the 26th from 1pm to 4pm at SuperValu; a Haunted House from 5:30 to 9:30pm at the Shelbourne Street School House.

5. CHILLING NIGHT IN STORE FOR KNOCKNAGOS­HEL

THERE is a chilling night in store at Knocknagos­hel this weekend as the village prepares to host the 25th year of its hugely popular Halloween Ghost Trail.

This years event will be held on the night of Sunday October 28 and for a milestone celebratio­n such as this, you know that this will be a night to remember.

6. HAUNTED HALL AT KERRY COUNTY MUSEUM

DON’T miss out on your chance to experience a night at the Haunted Hall at the Kerry County Museum here in Tralee.

Running from Saturday October 27 until Sunday October 31, only the bravest souls will survive entering the hall.

7. ASLAN SET TO ROCK THE INEC THIS WEEKEND

THERE is a great night in store at the INEC this weekend as Christy Dignam and Aslan take to the stage in Killarney on Saturday night.

Tickets for the show are currently still on sale from the INEC box office and are set to cost just €26.90; doors open on the night at 8 and the show starts at 9.

8. TRALEE PREPS FOR CHRISTIE HENNESSY FEST

IT’S that time of year again in Tralee as the final preparatio­ns are being put on the upcoming annual Christie Hennessy festival.

This years festival will be held in Ashe Hotel on Friday November 2 and will see a whole host of great and local musicians take to the stage to celebrate the life and memory of one of Tralee’s finest musicians.

9. PATRICK O’KEEFFE MUSIC FEST THIS WEEK

THE 2018 Patrick O’Keeffe Trad Music Festival will take place in Castleisla­nd from this Friday October 26 to Monday October 29.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends?

There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old.

People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
