Killarney chef in the limelight

PAUL TREYVAUD GETS REGULAR SLOT ON IRELAND AM

- BY SINEAD KELLEHER

KILLARNEY chef and restaurant owner, Paul Treyvaud, is back on TV screen this time with a regular slot on Ireland AM on Virgin Media TV, formerly TV3.

Paul made his debut on the popular TV show last Thursday morning where he cooked up a storm with his tasty pasta dishes.

The Killarney chef will now have a fortnightly slot on Ireland AM where he will share his cooking tips with the nation.

Paul is no stranger to TV fame and he is also currently in talks with Virgin Media for his very own show ‘Treyvaud’s Kitchen’. Filming for the six part series is completed and it is hoped that it will make it to TV screens shortly. He describes his new series as focusing on “cooking from home and having fun” in a different format for the traditional cookery shows.

Paul already has a hugely popular show on Amazon Prime - an online TV platform. ‘Treyvaud’s travels’ shows the lively Kerry chef travelling around the country and cooking and it has got huge feedback online.

This positive reaction has continued with his Ireland AM slot.

“It went very well. They were blown by the first one,” he said last week.

Paul said that he wants to share his recipes to show that “with some forward thinking anyone can make quick meals.”

“I have got great feedback to far the phone hasn’t stopped ringing. I must admit that I didn’t think there would be such a huge feedback,” he said.

Paul will now feature fortnightly on Ireland AM on either Thursdays and Fridays.
