Mid Kerry politicians the subject of lecture by authors

THE authors of the newly published ‘A Century of Politics in the Kingdom: A County Kerry Compendium’, Gordon Revington and Owen O’Shea will sign copies of their book at Easons, Killarney, this Saturday, November 10, from 12noon to 2pm.

They will also deliver an illustrated lecture on Friday, November 16, at the CYMS Hall, Killorglin, at 8pm entitled ‘A Century of Politics in the Kingdom – the mid-Kerry politicians who made their mark on the national political stage’.

The free talk is being hosted by the Killorglin History and Folklore Society and will feature the stories of ground-breaking politicians from the greater Killorglin area including Timothy ‘Chub’ O’Connor, Jack Flynn, Professor John Marcus O’Sullivan, Edmund Horan, and the McGillycuddy of the Reeks.
