All Star and Young FOTY award for David Clifford

THERE was a double celebration for David Clifford and Kerry football last Friday when the Fossa man won his first GAA/GPA All Star and was named the Young Footballer of the Year at the annual All Star awards.

Clifford was the only Kerry player named on the 2018 All Star team, which was dominated by Dublin with seven awards, followed by Monaghan with three, Tyrone two and one each for Kerry, Galway and Donegal.

Clifford was also named the Young Footballer of the Year ahead of nominees Brian Howard and Tyrone’s Michael McKernan.
