Unbeaten Killarney Athletic come from behind

KILLARNEY had to come from behind to beat the Park and maintain their unbeaten record.

Andrew Kerins, Jack Slattery and JJ Olijitan had put the Park in control but Stevie Gannon pulled one back before the break Gannon then hit a hat-trick in the second half and Jack McGrath added a fifth to wrap up the points.

Listowel Celtic had a hat trick from Evan Boyle and one from Oisin Healy in their 4-1 win over Iveragh United. Like all good strikers Finn Barrett and Fintan O’Sullivan both claimed the goal for the South Kerry side.

Killarney Athletic and the Park were tied 0-0 at the break. Mohammed Abdulla then put the Park ahead early in the second half. Juke Doolan replied for Killarney Athletic.

Division 1

KILLORGLIN B maintained their two point win at the top of the table with a 3-2 away win at Inter Kenmare. Ben O’Callaghan and Neal O’Shea got the Inter goals.

Dingle Bay Rovers remain in second place as they came from behind to win easily at home to Killarney Celtic B. Oisin Fleming put the visitors ahead but goals from Diarmuid O’Seaghdha, Conor Corduff, Cian McGearailt and Danny Kavanagh gave the home side the points.

Castleisla­nd were the big movers on the day as their win away at Mastergeeh­a sees them move up to fourth place. While they were only 1-0 up at half-time Castleisla­nd pulled away in the second half. Jack Joy, Kian Downey, Eoghan Shire, Finn Nolan and Shay Lawless got their goals.

Division 2 North

THE Park C continue to lead the way and are now on five wins from five played, but were pushed all the way.

They took the points winning by the odd goal in eleven at home to Fenit whose goals came from Kealan O’Dowd, Aaron Harty, Tiernan O’Sullivan and Tom Quilter who got two.

Sam Slattery hit three with James McCarthy, Noel Carroll and Ciaran O’Connell all on the mark for the Park C.

LB Rovers were too strong for Park B with both Leigh Meehan and Patrick Walsh both hitting hat tricks. Darragh Moriarty and Fiachra Buckley got the goals for the West Kerry side. William Jakovi got the Park’s goal.

Division 2 South

KILLARNEY Athletic B are joint leaders, but only after an amazing game away to MEK.

The Park had three goals from Daniel Fleming, two from Laim Hennigan and one from Eanna Kearney while the home side replied with goals from James Clifford, Noah O’Shea, Cian Fleming, Matej Mecanovic, Sturat Scott and Eanna Murphy. There was one final twist in the tale as Glen Bowler hit the winners for Killarney Athletic in a thirteen-goal cracker.

Dingle Bay Rovers are tied for first place but they were also involved in a very tight encounter.

Adrian O’Sullivan hit a hat trick Ballyhar, but goals from Pádraig Manning, Kieran Moran and Jack Sheehy gave the West Kerry side the point.

Mastergeeh­a B were 5-0 winners at home to Killorglin B and are now only three points from third place.
