NEW BABY: Comhghaird­eas to our senior player Shane Murphy and his wife Laura on the birth of their baby girl -Jules recently. We hope you will have endless hours of fun and joy with your little daughter. AGM: Friday November 30th 2018 . It is such an exciting time to be part of our GAA Club here in Milltown Castlemain­e with the tremendous work being done at present. The developmen­t of our new ‘all weather’ training and playing surfaces, along with a state of the art gym, clubhouse and walking track will ensure that the present and future generation­s of our community will have the best possible facilities available to them. There is no better time to become involved. If you would like to be a part of the executive or any aspect of the club, why not get in touch with our club chairman Podge Leane or coaching officer Ian Twiss. Remember your small contributi­on could make a HUGE difference. Hoping to see you on the night. CONGRATULA­TIONS: A huge congratula­tions to Beaufort, Kilcummin and Dr. Crokes who advanced to the next round of their respective competitio­ns over the weekend- each with comprehens­ive victories. In particular, well done to Kilcummin who is trained by one of our former senior players Willie Maher. Delighted for you Willie and continued success. LOTTO: With less than 6 weeks to Christmas- it would be a brilliant time to win some money in our Lotto Jackpot draw. Our next draw is on this Friday November 16 th -in Griffin’s Bar, Castlemain­e, with a Jackpot of €5,600 along with a match 3 pot of €300 up for grabs. Your contributi­on to our club is much appreciate­d. FIRST AID: The club is hoping to run a Certified Sports \ Basic First Aid Course , commencing in January 2019.

It is a 4 hours CFR recognised certificat­e and will cover the following topics: Safety, emergency planning, phoning for ambulance, CPR adult, child and infant de fibrillato­r, choking, heart attack, stroke, stress management, fractures\sprains\strains, bleeding injuries, asthma and concussion. It is a practical, hands on course with PowerPoint, video and hands on demonstrat­ions. To ensure quality the course is limited to just 8 places per class. The training is open to both coaches & parents .(There is a discount for coaches). We are hoping to start the course in early January, so if interested please contact Garry Murphy on 0879432746, to secure a place in the training.
