All aboard the North Pole Express...

-

SAVE the dates – December 15 and 16 – for the wonderful North Pole Express experience! It’s a festive opportunity for children’s imaginations to be swept away by the magic of it all. It’s a time of year when the historic Lartigue Railway is transformed into The North Pole Express route making it a perfect Christmas countdown for children.

On arrival the kids are greeted by the head elf who introduces them to Santa and Ms Claus, who then reads them a story. The kids can also bring their own letters and drawings to Santa and hand them to him. Then the train driver shouts the famous line ‘all aboard the North Pole Express’ and its away we go. On their return the kids can enjoy a lovely arts and crafts room where they can pick out their own Christmas ornaments and decorate them.

“It’s been a fantastic initiative ever since it started and we booked out two trains within a few weeks of announcing this year’s event,” said Damien O’Mahony. “I think one of the lovely things about it is the way the local shops do up their windows in a train theme. It’s great to see all manner of trains in the windows. It just adds that extra seasonal touch to it all. The kids thoroughly enjoy it, which is the main thing.” It’s thanks to the hard work of the committee for making sure the North Pole Express becomes a reality each Christmas. It’s an adventure that brings people together each Christmas for the good of the community. Be sure to book your tickets online to visit Santa on the Listowel North Pole Express. Times are 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm & 1.30pm each day (December 15 & 16).
