-

Ballydonoghue 6-13 Ballylongford/Asdee 1-6

AS the scoreline suggests this was a rather one sided affair with Ballydonoghue pretty much on top from the outset, while Bally/Asdee had some good individual performers they never really clicked on the day.

Ballydonoghue opened the scoring with a point from Emmet Kelly to set them on their way and two minutes later Man of the Match Jack Kennelly got in for the first of his three goals opening up an early lead.

Liam Mulvihill operating at full forward got Bally/ Asdee off the mark with a pointed free.

Ballydonoghue continued to push forward at every opportunity and led by 17 points at half time Ballydonoghue 4-9 Ballylongford/Asdee 0-4

The second half continued in a similar fashion with Ballydonoghue extending their lead through a Jack Kennelly goal in the second minute.

Pa Carmody interrupted the procession for Bally/ Asdee when he drove a quickly taken free to the net.

Bally/Asdee kept battling to the final whistle but it was Ballydonoghue who ran out deserving winners.
