Higher Education GAA Referees’ Bursary on offer

COISTE Chontae Chiarrai CLG has one Higher Education GAA Referees’ Bursary for the 2018/19 Academic Year. The Bursary will be awarded to a registered student of the Institute of Technology Tralee. The Bursary is awarded by Coiste Chontae Chiarrai CLG to a successful applicant who is currently participat­ing as a referee and officiatin­g for Coiste Chontae Chiarrai CLG games.

The following are the terms and conditions of the bursary scheme:

1. The applicatio­n is open to members of Coiste Chontae Chiarrai CLG who are registered full time students at IT Tralee and who are active participan­ts in IT Tralee GAA Club.

2. The successful applicant must be available to referee games for IT Tralee GAA Club when required.

3. To qualify recipients must have obtained a Club Level Referee Certificat­e and a Referee In-Service Course Certificat­e (where possible).

4. To qualify recipients must be participat­ing as a referee and officiatin­g Coiste Chontae Chiarrai CLG games and also remain active following award of the bursary.

5. The bursary is valued at €600

6. A condition of receiving the bursary is the demonstrat­ion of a commitment to the Higher Education GAA Club as a referee or official.

7. Those who are already in receipt of College GAA scholarshi­ps/ bursaries are not eligible to apply.

8. Bursaries are awarded for the 2018/19 Academic Year only.

9. Completed applicatio­n forms are to be returned to Eamon Fitzgerald, GAA Games Promotion Officer, IT Tralee, Clash, Tralee, Co. Kerry
