CG Killarney stay top of Premier B table

DENNY PREMIER B QPR 1 CG Killarney 2

CG remain the leaders of the pack in this division after a good win over QPR. Stephen Hayes and Joe Donovan scored for the winners with assists from Joe Hurley and Gary Cassidy.

Their best players were Mike Murphy, Tadhg Fleming and Andy O’Sullivan. Johnny O’Keeffe scored for QPR.

Camp United 3 Killarney Celtic B 2

Camp United move up to second place in the league table after a hard earned win over Killarney Celtic. The legendary Genie Farrell showed he has not lost the midas touch scoring a goal while Johnny O’Driscoll and Dale Counihan completed the scoring for the West Kerry side.

John Falvey and Mikey Moynihan scored for Killarney Celtic.

DENNY DIVISION 1A Atletico Ardfert 2 Strand Road 2

The sides had to settle for a point each in this game with Ricky Heffernan and Kevin Orpen scoring for Ardfert while Wayne Guthrie and Ivan Parker were the Strand Road scorers.

DENNY DIVISION 1 Inter Kenmare 3 Classic FC B 3

In a tight game both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils. Rory Kelly, Padraig Breen and Mark Holden scored for Classic.

DENNY DIVISION 2A Mainebank 3 Mastergeeh­a 0

Mainebank got three precious points on the board after a good win over Mastergeeh­a. Cian Flynn (2) and Luke Flynn scored for the winners.

CS Clochain Breanainn 3 Killorglin C 1

A good three points here for CSCB who are finding their feet in recent weeks and chalking up wins. They had to work hard to defeat a spirited Killorglin side who made them fight all the way for their win. CSCB went ahead when Micheal O’Dowd headed home from a corner kick.

Killorglin thought they had a stone wall penalty when Lorca Maher was taken down in the box but nothing transpired and it was 1-0 at half time. Killorglin enjoyed a good spell early in the second half but just could not get the breakthrou­gh they were seeking.

CSCB doubled their lead with a similar pattern to their first goal with Adam O’Donnell tapping in from a corner kick. Killorglin got themselves right back into the game with Aidan O’Sullivan scoring with a great finish and now the game was in the melting pot.

Killorglin went close to equalising with Shane Moriarty skimming the crossbar with a rasper of a shot but Tadhg Kerin sealed the game for CSCB scoring late in the game.

DENNY DIVISION 2B Kilmoyley Athletic 3 Classic FC C 0

Kilmoyley Athletic continue to lead the way in ths division extending their 100% record to 8 games. Daniel Collins, James Godfrey and Joseph McElligott scored for the winners.

Manor West 7 Lenamore Rovers 2

Manor Park stay in touch with the title contenders in this division after a comfortabl­e win over Lenamore Rovers at Mounthawk Park on Friday night. Michael O’Connor and Stephen Foran scored for Lenamore.

Ballyheigu­e Athletic B 3 CS Abbeydorne­y 1

Ballyheigu­e took all three points in the local derby which was a tight competitiv­e game. Stevie O’Sullivan scored for CS Abbeydorne­y.
