Underage Training:

It’s that time of year again when the evenings are getting longer, and our children have a spring in their step! The coaches and mentors at our club have been busy up-skilling during the winter months and are eagerly looking forward to imparting their new skills during the busy footballing season ahead. We are very lucky to have up to 70 coaches available, allowing our coach to child ratio to be very low. The U-8 boys training continues indoors at the Nagle Rice Centre on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7pm. Any new boys in the areaborn in the years 2011 and 2012 are very welcome to attend. We would ask you to encourage your child to bring a friend along who may not have experienced GAA before. Our U10 boys play mini games indoor every Friday from 6 to 7pm also. Our U6 boys & U6 / U8 girls will also return indoors shortly at the Nagle Rice centre -having had an excellent last 12 months with well organised, creative and fun training sessions as well as participating in plenty of blitzes all over the county. This year again, we are fortunate enough to be able to provide our U6/U8 and U10 girls with the added advantage of having their own girls’ squads, allowing them to take part in lots of friendly games and blitzes. This is a very exciting time for Milltown/ Castlemaine GAA Club with the current development of facilities taking place. Our new sand-based training pitch will be ready to use when development on our main pitch begins, transforming it to thehighest standard natural all-weather playing surface achievable. There are also first-class changing facilities and a state of the art floodlighting system included in our plans.

We look forward to creating an enjoyable footballing experience for both you and your child in the year/s ahead. Details of our registration day will follow shortly.
