First Friday in February is next Friday mass in Currans on Wednesday at 7:30pm. First Friday calls to the housebound on Friday from 11 am

The feast of St Bridget the secondary patron of Ireland is Thursday next.

Candlemas next Saturday 2nd of February. Blessing of candles will take place at the 7:30pm mass in Currow on Friday 1st February. Donations of candles for use in either churches or a money contributi­on would be greatly appreciate­d.

The blessing of the throats associated with st Blaise will take place after mass on Friday and Saturday in Currow church and from 9:30amto 9:55am (before the mass on Sunday in Currans church
