MASTERGEEHA FC

U13 DIV 2: Killarney Athletic 4 Mastergeeha 0 - In this game the boys played the league winner. Mastergeeha started well with Bobby Galvin and Darren O Leary having shots saved early on. However just before the break the home side went a goal up. In the second half the boys battled hard but the Killarney side were more clinical and wrapped up the points.

U14 Premier: Mastergeeha 5 Killorglin 0 - In this game the boys played well from the start leading 3-0 at the break. In the second half Mastergeeha added further goals to ensure the three points. Jack Fogarty with a hat trick and Eoin Kelly with two were the scorers in a game that all played well.

U17: Mastergeeha 2 Castleisland 2 - A draw was a fair result as the poor weather conditions played a huge factor in the scoring for both teams. Playing with a strong breeze M’Geeha took the lead on 30mins when Dara Tagney reacted first to a poor GK kick out and showed great technique and control to fire the ball home from 25 yards and Philip O’Leary doubled the lead 3mins later when he stroked home following good work from Ian O’Connor. Castleisland rallied in the 2nd half and scored 2 quick-fire goals to draw level but M’Geeha did have chances with Philip O’Leary and Ian O’Connor both going close. All played well with the back four of Cian Murphy, Sean Kennedy, Shane Warren and Daniel Herlihy outstanding throughout.
