VOLUNTEERS SKILLS
Interested in volunteering with Recovery Haven? We will be delivering a Core Skills Volunteer training programme with emphasis on empathic listening skills. It will take place on Saturday 2nd, 9th and 16th February from 9.30am to 4pm. For further details 066 7192122 or email Carol@recoveryhavenkerry.com
THERAPISTS REQUIRED
With client numbers and demand for services increasing on a month-to-month basis, the charity is hoping to recruit volunteer complementary therapists to offer one-to-one therapies to clients, who are either on their cancer journey or in recovery. The charity is particularly looking for massage, reflexology and beauty therapists to come on board on a voluntary basis, working from Recovery Haven’s Tralee base for as little as three hours per week, where possible. To get involved call us on 066 7192122.
PARK RUN
To mark World Cancer Day, Recovery Haven Kerry will be joining forces with the Tralee Park Run this Saturday, February 2, encouraging those in recovery from cancer, their friends and family to come out and walk together. We will also have a stand at the Park Run where people can access more information about the services we provide for those on their cancer journey. The event kicks off at 9.30am.
