1. TABLE QUIZ FOR ST FRANCIS ON FRIDAY NIGHT

THE third annual fun oub quiz in aid of St Francis’ Special School in Beaufort will take place this Friday February 1 at 9pm in the Kenmare Bay Hotel.

3. DEIRDRE O’KANE BRINGS COMEDY SHOW TO SIAMSA

THE always brilliant Deirdre O’Kane brings her brand new comedy show to Siamsa Tíre next month, with tickets currently on sale now.

‘A Line of O’Kane’ see’s Deirdre talking about her whirlwind last 12 months which has seen her take to the dancefloor. host comedy shows, voicing Gogglebox and so much more.

Tickets to see Deirdre on the night of February 1 will cost just €21.

4. BIDDY’S DAY FESTIVAL RETURNS THIS SATURDAY

ORGANISERS of the upcoming Biddy’s Day Festival are inviting everyone to come out and help celebrate the return of the festival on Saturday February 2.

Now into its third year since being revived, it has continued to go from strength to strength under the guidanc of its dedicated organisers.

Featuring talks, workshops, music and more; make sure that you don’t forget to come along and witness the always brilliant night time fire parade through Killorglin at 7pm.

5. BOSCO APPEARING AT SIAMSA TÍRE

ONE of the biggest Irish TV stars of his generation, Bosco, will touch down in Siamsa Tíre next month in what is sure to be a fun filled and nostalgic day out for parents and children alike.

Tickets to see the cheeky, lovely, funny, slightly-cracked, irrepressi­ble Bosco live in show are on sale now from the Siamsa website and box office.

Tickets are €12 with the show itself taking place on February 9.

6. EDDI READER TO PERFORM IN SIAMSA TÍRE

THE brilliant Eddi Reader returns to her beloved Siamsa Tíre later next month in what is sure to be a fantastic performanc­e and notto-be-missed.

With roots in Tralee, the former Fairground Attraction singer will perform in the famous Tralee venue on the night of Sunday February 17.

Eddi’s last performanc­e in Tralee was received to huge acclaim and there is no doubt that this next performanc­e will be just as good.

Tickets to her show will cost between €21 and €23 with the concert kicking off at 8pm.

7. LAST CHANCE TO SEE KILLORGLIN PANTOMIME

MAKE sure that you don’t miss out on your last chance to see the Killorglin Pantomime group perform their ‘Wizard of Oz’ show on Sunday February 3.

THE always brilliant comedian Pat Shortt is bringing his brand new show entitled ‘Hey’ to the INEC in Killarney this Friday night, February 1.

Doors for the show open at 7pm on the night with the show itself starting at 8pm; tickets are €32.20 and are currently on sale from the INEC box office or website.

9. ‘THE CHASTITUTE’ BEING PERFORMED IN ABBEYFEALE

‘THE Chastitute’ by John B Keane will be performed by the Abbeyside Players in the Glórach Theatre this coming Thursday January 31.

Further shows will be held on February 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 and 10; the curtain will rise each night at 8pm.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends? There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old. People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
