Man appears in court over €57k cannabis bust in Camp

THE man who appeared before Killarney District Court on Tuesday afternoon, following a drugs raid on Monday night, is to sign on at his local garda station weekly having been granted bail to appear again on Wednesday, April 24, at Tralee District Court.

Thomas Mahony of Seaside Caravan Park, Camp, Tralee, was before the court charged with the possession of cannabis for sale or supply and the unlawful posssessio­n of the same drug. He was also charged with the unlawful possession of cocaine at the address in Camp on Monday.

The value of the drugs is estimated at €57,000 by gardaí.

Represente­d by solicitor Pat Day, Mr Mahony was also ordered to hand over a phone number to gardaí.
