FEBRUARY got off to a wonderful start for schools across the south Kerry area last week as they opened their doors and welcomed some very special guests.
Grandparent’s Day is a day which has fast grown in popularity in recent years, and last Friday was no different as scores of grandparents enjoyed a special visit to their grandchildren’s schools. Photo by Michelle Cooper Galvin.
Gaelscoil Faithleann in Killarney, Nagle Rice Primary School in Milltown and St John’s National School were some of the schools visited by The Kerryman last Friday.
As a fantastic atmosphere and buzz filled the schools, pupils eagerly showed off their classrooms and artwork to their granparents, and the grandparents themselves beamed with pride as they enjoyed spending some extra quality time with their beloved grandchildren.
