Drumnacurra pupils become ‘Heart Heroes’

-

20 pupils of Scoil Chríost Rí, Dromnacurra, Causeway, managed to master key first-aid skills as part of their curricular work – and they’ve done so well that they’ve graduated last week as Heart Heroes.

They are the newest of 800 pupils in Kerry to complete the Heart Heroes CPR and AED programme, which equipped them with the skills necessary to recognise and respond to emergencies to save lives.

Prinicipal Regina O’Connor said the school was very proud of their achievement. The initiative for primary schools is fully funded by the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee and facilitated by instructor Kathleen Finnegan at kfinnegan@bonsecours.ie.
