MID KERRY LEAGUE: Our seniors will start their Mid Kerry League campaign this Sunday (February 10) when they travel to Keel to play the home team. The game starts at 2pm. Last weekend’s game against Beaufort was called off. MINI MAROONS: Our popular Cromane GAA Mini Maroons football camp (now it’s third year) for 4 to 6-year-olds started continued at Glenbeigh Sports Hall last Sunday.

The Mini Maroons lasts for the six weeks, and you can still get involved as this is a great event for your children. They pick up the skills of football, have fun, and make friends? By the way, it’s also FREE. Interested? Email Cromane GAA coaching officer Gavin O’Connor (on cromanecoachingoffer@gmail.com) or get in touch with the club via Facebook. SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Well done to the Intermediate School, Killorglin, Under-16 and a half team that qualified for the Munster Frewen Cup final last Thursday by beating Mercy Mounthawk, Tralee, 1-19 to 3-7. They play St Flannan’s, of Ennis, in the decider. The final is provisionally fixed for February 27 in Killarney. There was a healthy Cromane contingent involved with Darragh McKeefry, Éanna Healy, and Kieran O’Sullivan all playing prominent roles while Liam Joy (though a year younger) is also part of the panel. Well done lads.

Hard luck to the Killorglin Community College senior team who were pipped in the Under-19 football final by Scoil Pól, Kilfinane, in Rathkeale last Tuesday. The final score was Killorglin Community College 2-10, Scoil Pól, Kilfinane 3-9. Cromane players Jason O’Connor and Zein O’Flaherty were in the forward line for the Killorglin Community College team. Hard luck lads but well done on making the decider and doing your school, and club, proud.
