Big win for Glenbeigh
SENIOR LEAGUE RD 1 Laune Rangers 0-6 Glenbeigh Glencar 3-16
GLENBEIGH / Glencar’s new management team William Kirby, Peter O’Sullivan and Brian McCarthy got their season off to a winning start defeating Laune Rangers with ease in their Mid Kerry League opener.
Glenbeigh / Glencar played with the wind in the opening half and built a dominant league with goals from Dara Casey and Colin McGillicuddy. Half-time score Glenbeigh / Glencar 2-8 Laune Rangers 0-0.
Glenbeigh / Glencar took their opportunity to introduce some of their up and coming youngsters in the second half, but not take their foot off the panel as the half followed a similar pattern to the first as they ran out 3-15 to 0-06 winners, the third goal a classy finish coming from Tommy Cahill.
