-

TRALEE TROPHY WORLD UNDER 16 Premier

ST Brendan’s Park in second place became the first side to take points of leaders Camp Juniors who were looking for their eighth win from eight.

And it looked like Camp were on their way when they went 2-0 up thanks to goals from a Caolan O’Connell free kick and a long distance effort from Donal Crean. Jamie Fitzgerald pulled one back for the Park before the game was held up for an injury to Dan Fischer who was taken away by ambulance with a bad muscle tear. Everyone in the League wishes him a speedy recovery.

The Park’s Mark Curtain then levelled matters before his team-mate put them ahead Matt Healy. But there was a further twist when John O’Connor scored the final goal as the teams ended 3-3 and shared the points.

Ballyhar moved up to third after their 3-0 home win over Inter Kenmare. Peter Cosgrave, Charlie Keating and Brian Burke got the goals for the winners.

Division 1

THE Park B’s have moved two points clear of Rattoo Rovers at the top of the table, but they have paid two games more. Cianan Cooney, Sean O’Connor and Cian O’Neill got the goals for the Park.

Killorglin and Mastergeeha shared eight goals in a 4-4 thriller. Killorglin led 4-2 late on with Brendan O’Leary getting the goals for the Kilbrean side. And in the last ten minutes Mastergeeha’s Barney Parsons scored twice to earn his side a share of the points.
