The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
Away win lifts Killorglin ‘C’ out of relegation zone
DENNY DIVISION 2A Mastergeeha 1 Killorglin C 2
THIS was a great result for Killorglin with a second win in as many games to lift them out of the relegation places. Mastergeeha went ahead in the 38th minute with a Tom Templeman goal but Killorglin were on level terms just before the break when Kieran O’Shea scored straight from a free kick catching the Mastergeeha keeper (and most of the players and spectators) off guard with a great strike
The Launesiders went in front in the 65th minute when Aiden O’Sullivan was brought down in the box and Killorglin were awarded a penalty and a player from each side was sent off. Kieran O’Shea stepped up and slotted away the penalty.
Minutes later Mastergeeha were down to nine men after a poor tackle on Killorglin’s Shane Moriarty. It should have been plain sailing from there for Killorglin but to be fair to Mastergeeha they made their opponents work hard for the three points.
