DEATH

The death has taken place of John Joe O’Sullivan of Tarmons on Thursday 31st January. His remains were removed from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home to St. Finian’s Church on Friday evening and his funeral Mass took place on Saturday morning followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pre-deceased by his wife Maura, brothers Timmy & Michael & sister Mary, John Joe is survived by his daughters Maria, Karen & Ann, son Gerard, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, brothers Paddy & Kevin, sisters Eileen, Kathleen & Margaret, sistersin-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives & friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. Waterville Community Care would like to thank all who attended, volunteere­d or contribute­d in any way to the Annual Community Christmas Party which was held in the Sea Lodge on Sunday January 20th.

OPEN DAY

Waterville Community First Responders will hold an Open day on Sat 9th Feb in the Sea Lodge Hotel from 12noon to 3pm with light refreshmen­ts provided.

There is no charge and this is an informatio­n session on the role and function of CFR’s, to highlight their importance in our community and guest speakers will discuss topics such as the importance of CPR, the location of our Public Access Defibrilla­tors so forth and we may have a real life SCA survivor to tell his tale.

Waterville CFR hope you can attend for any period of time you can between 12&3pm and also try some of the Fun games on CPR. Thank you.

NETWORKING EVENT

Sceilig Coast Tourism Network will hold a tourism Networking Event on Friday 15th February 2019 at Sea Lodge Waterville Registrati­on at 9.30am. Event will begin at 10am and end at 1.00pm.

OUTREACH SERVICE

Chime offer a free outreach service of support and advice on hearing loss and deafness for both adults and children, cleaning and basic maintenanc­e of Hearing Aids and informatio­n on entitlemen­ts. Clinic takes place on Tuesday 19 February 11am-2pm in The Marina, Cahersivee­n. To secure an appointmen­t contact Jerry Kelleher on 087374 7327 before 18th February.

VARIETY SHOW

Reenard GAA Club is hosting a ‘Variety Show’ on February 23rd in Foilmore Community Centre at 8.30pm. Doors will open at 7.45pm. Admission: Adults €10 and Children €5.
