The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
The Kerry Way Steakhouse & Bar . . . brighter and better than ever
THEY say a change is as good as a rest but one place where ‘ change’ and ‘ rest’ work perfectly together is at The Kerryway Steakhouse & Bar. This popular establishment located on the outskirts of Killarney is an oasis of calm for people wishing to enjoy a dining experience just a stone’s throw from Killarney town.
Proprietors Don and Gobnait O’Leary have recently invested a great deal of thought and time in refurbishing the premises with the aim of creating a new and vibrant setting for its customers. The husband and wife team have form in this regard as they also run The Mills Inn in Ballyvourney – a busy and popular establishment renowned for its fine food and hospitality.
Mark Curtin from Tralee is the Executive Chef in both premises, and Don and Gobnait’s concept is to transfer the same level of hospitality at The Mills Inn to The Kerryway Steakhouse & Bar.
“We have over 30 years’ experience in this business and we’re enjoying the latest adventure. We’ve given the premises a new and fresh look, which is classy and contemporary in style,” said Don.
Community is an essential part of any business’s ambition to succeed and Don and Gobnait are very much aware of this, which why they are keen to emphasise the essential role community plays in their business.
“Community is very important. You must have that connection with the people around you as much as the people who visit you. We appreciate our community which, by extension, shows that we appreciate our customers. We’re also joint sponsors of Glenflesk GAA Club this year.”
