Expo seeks to make match between jobs and workers

-

EMPLOYERS can avail of an opportunity to recruit new staff at ‘ The Expo’, which takes place in Dingle at the end of March.

The free event aims to bring together employers and job seekers through a combination of interviews on the day and a notice board advertising jobs for which people can submit CVs.

The event is organised by NEWKD and seeks to highlight the employment opportunities available in West Kerry. Representatives of education boards and colleges in the county will also be on hand to provide information on their courses.

This is the second event of its kind in Dingle. Last year more than 40 businesses took display stands at the event and more than 200 people attended. Organisers say it is a great opportunity for businesses to let people know about what they do and also an opportunity for people to find out about education, job and volunteering opportunities.

The Garvey group are among the businesses who will be conducting interviews for staff on the day. For businesses who have job vacancies but are not be able to attend, the organisers will advertise their vacancies and they will gather and pass on CVs.

The Expo will take place on Friday, March 28, and to find out more contact Marie Danaher or Tara O’Dowd at (066) 714 2788 or dingleinfo@newkd.ie
