At the top of our branch meeting last Tuesday night a vote of sympathy was extended to our chairman Eoin O Carra and his wife Olivia on the death of Olivia’s mother Olive Ui Charrbui. RIP.

The meeting congratula­ted the winners of Sult na nOg and Cheoil an Gheimhridh

Congratula­tions were also once more extended to Nicky and Ann McAuliffe on receiving TG4 Gradam Ceoil Lifetime Achievemen­t Award. A group from our branch and a big contingent of Kerry supporters traveled to Belfast for the occasion.

In conjunctio­n with Comhairle na Mumhan, Kerry Co Board is running the annual Scoil Fonn on Traditiona­l singing in English and Irish, and slow airs on Fiddle Flute and Whistle also a workshop of Sliabh Luachra slide and polka. These will be held on Saturday 13th April in the IT Tralee North Campus. All entries to County Secretary including €15 fee by Wednesday 10th April.

Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraí will be held again this year in Milltown 19th to 23rd June. Entries for those wishing to participat­e must be with our branch Secretary on or before Tuesday 2nd May.

Comhaltas Annual Congress will be held 3rd to 5th May in Cultúrlann na hÉireann.

Grainne Evans will be receiving her T.T.C.T Diploma over that weekend having completed and excelled at the course last October.

Our next branch meeting will be held on Tuesday 16th April at 9 pm. in the Meeting Rooms Park Road.
