Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Gene Moriarty, Lawlors Cross who died recently. May he rest in peace.

HOSPICE WALK

The annual Good Friday walk in aid of Kerry Hospice foundation will take place on April 19th at 10.30am. Starting from the Recreation Hall there will be a choice of two walks, 4km and 8km. Refreshmen­ts will be provided in the hall after the walk. Spot prizes for all participan­ts with the top prize of a magnificen­t Easter egg hamper sponsored by Alan Oliver of Lír Café. Last year’s walk raised €2,970.

The committee wishes to sincerely than you for your generous donations. Thanks also to Kilcummin Post Office, Larkins Bakery, the Hall committee and all those who help to organise the walk. Donations will be accepted on the day. A meeting to organise the walk will be held in the Recreation Hall on Monday April 8th at 9pm. Newcomers welcome. Please come along and support.

The AGM of the Kilcummin Rural Developmen­t group will take place on Thursday 11th April at 8pm in the RD Office. We would like to invite representa­tives of parish groups/organisati­ons and individual­s to attend on the night

RECYCLE OR SWAP YOUR BOOKS

Want a good read? In a new initiative by Looking Good for April which is Reuse Month you can now recycle or swap your books which are in good condition in the Rural Developmen­t Office. Special box in the office for drop off/pick up during office opening hours.

KILLARNEY LIBRARY

Storytime for children will take place on Saturdays 13th and 27th April at 10.30am. The National Learning Network will hold an advice clinic on Tuesday 16th April from 11am - 1pm.

DRAMA READING GROUP

The Drama Reading Group will hold a meeting in Killarney Library on Tuesday 9th April from 6.30pm -7.30pm. Free admission to all events.

Craft night will be held in the Rural Developmen­t Office on Wednesday 10th April at 8pm. All ladies welcome.

KILCUMMIN N.S. OPEN DAY

The Kilcummin N.S. Open Day for prospectiv­e Junior Infant pupils will be held in the school on Thursday, 11th April 2019, from 2.15pm to 4pm. Parents and pupils are invited to attend. Adare Production are looking for the country’s most talented youngster’s age 5-11 years of age to take part. Singer or dancer, solo or duet, all applicatio­ns are welcome. Thank you all for making such great use of the Recycling/Bottle Bank at the Village Inn. Please refrain from dumping your rubbish in this vicinity. We are looking for volunteers to assist in collecting rubbish on the roads in the area. Bags are available at the Rural Developmen­t Office and can be returned there when full. Míle Buíochas.
