Nine teams competed in the Under 11 competition and six teams in the Under 14 competition. Teams were evenly matched in both age groups requiring a number of games going to extra time to separate teams. Thanks to all competitors and to John Fox, Linda O’Reilly and all who assisted in the running of the competition.

In the Under 11 competition nine teams were divided into two groups with winners of the groups playing in the final and runners up playing for third and fourth placings. In Group 1, after 10 excellent games Beaufort claimed top place with four victories and the runners up were Spa Fenit/Barrow.

In Group 2, Kenmare qualified for the final with three wins and Listowel going into the play-off game with two wins. In the play-off game Listowel claimed the Bronze medals after extra time winning by 11 tries to 10 for Spa Fenit/Barrow who received the Pewter medals.

The final was very exciting with the game tied nine tries apiece at full time thus requiring extra time where Beaufort claimed the County title and Gold medals winning by 13 tries to 11 tries for Kenmare who received the Silver medals.

Result: 1st Beaufort; 2nd Kenmare; 3rd Listowel; 4th Spa Fenit Barrow.
