U14 - Well done to our U14s who have qualified for the semi finals of Feile Peil na nOg following wins over Legion and Firies and a narrow loss to Listowel today in the group phase of the competition which was hosted by Legion. Great credit must go to the players from all 4 teams who braved very strong winds and freezing conditions today to serve up an entertaining afternoon of football. Minors - In the Division 3B Minor County Semi-Final Glenflesk lost narrowly to Ballylongford/Asdee/Ballydonoghue. Even though Glenflesk were down in numbers, they showed great heart to come back from 7 points down to come in at a score of 8 points to 4 at halftime. The second half was a tough battle with Glenflesk going down to 14 men early on. Despite throwing everything at the Ballylongford goal in the end, Glenflesk unfortunately came up short. Final score 0-13 to 0-10. Great credit due to team and management for a tremendous effort over a tough league campaign. Thanks again to Sean Moynihan for this report.
