Ulster Bank opens heart to local charity with open information day
A HOME-EXPERT information event at Killarney’s Ulster Branch bank later this month will offer home-owners and -buyers the opportunity to speak to architects, contractors, engineers, and designers – as well as a chance to donate to a charity that’s close to everyone’s heart in Killarney, if you’ll excuse the pun.
On October 26, Ulster Bank Killarney hosts an information day featuring representatives from Davide Mosca Design Limited, McMahon Cullotty Construction, Reeks Consulting Engineers, and ‘The Personal Touch’ interior designer.
The day will be split into slots between 30 and 40 minutes in length, but the added incentive of giving attendees the opening to donate to HearBeat Killarney and Kerry Cardiac Support Group is sure to boost the event. The voluntary group is run by heart patients and carers, and aims to support those living with heart disease or people who have suffered a cardiac event or stroke.
Among the initiatives HeartBeat runs are a free, monthly Cardiac Support Group at the Serenity Centre, Killarney; providing useful information and contacts through its website, www.kerryhearts.ie; and have helped set up AE Defibrillator phoneboxes in the town.
Speaking ahead of the event, HeartBeat Killarney and Kerry Chairperson Billy O’Sullivan was as thankful as ever for the support afforded to his group.
“We work every day to provide information and events in the local area, so we need all the help we can get,” Mr O’Sullivan said. “I want to thank everyone who is involved in organising and hosting this wonderful initiative, particularly Ulster Bank colleagues in Killarney and the experts who are giving up their precious time and advice.”
