Rattoo put five past Ballyhar in Premier B win

DENNY PREMIER B Rattoo Rovers 5 Ballyhar Dynamos 0

Ballyhar had the better chances in the first half but Rattoo led 1-0 at the interval. The Ballyduff side moved up a gear in the second half and ran out comfortabl­e winners with goals from Mikey Boyle (2), Liam Boyle, Kevin Goulding and Johnny Regan.

DENNY DIVISION 1A Strand Road FC 3 Ballyheigu­e Athletic 3

In a good competitiv­e game the sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in a high scoring encounter. Pa McCarthy (2) and Adam O’Mahony scored for Strand Road while Kieran O’Connor (2) and Lachlan McDonald scored for Ballyheigu­e.

DENNY DIVISION 1B Windmill United 0 Classic FC B 2

Classic B got their season off to a winning start after seeing off the challenge of Blennervil­le side Windmill United. David O’Connor and Shane Flavin scored for the Tralee side.

Inter Kenmare 4 Killorglin ‘B’ 4

This was a game that probably Killorglin should have won but they let a two-goal advantage slip twice and paid the price at the end. They were 2-0 up after 15 minutes with goals from Paul Browne and a good strike from Ryan O’Riordan.

Kenmare got themselves back into it with goals either side of the break. Killorglin then went 4-2 up with O’Riordan again on target and Mikey O’Sullivan but again Kenmare brought the game back to level terms with two goals. AJ Christian, Evan Christian, Marian Sima and Fintan Davies scored for Inter.

DENNY DIVISION 2A Mainebank 1 Kilflynn Santos 1

New kids on the block Kilflynn Santos picked up a point after a 1-1 draw with Mainebank. James Long was the Mainebank scorer.

Mastergeeh­a 6 Tralee Dynamos ‘B’ 3

Mastergeeh­a had their shooing boots in order in this game and went on a goal scoring spree and won handsomely in a game that produced nine goals.

Philip O’Leary (2), Paul Moroney, Gearoid Kerins, Owen Daly and Dylan Murphy scored for the winners.

DENNY DIVISION 2B AC Athletic 1 Killorglin ‘C’ 4

Killorglin claimed the three points with a strong second half performanc­e with Kieran O’Shea stealing the show with a hat trick all from the penalty spot. Killorglin went ahead when Aiden O’Sullivan was brought down in the box and captain Kieran O’Shea tucked away the penalty.

AC brought the game back to parity just before the break with a 30 yard screamer from Daniel Walsh. Killorglin took control in the second half with Kieran O’Shea completing a hat trick with two more goals both from the penalty spot while Aiden O’Sullivan completed the scoring for the winners.

Killorglin had a father and son on duty with Paudie and Ronan O’Shea both turning in great shifts.
