The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
Giving back to people of South Kerry
WE’RE just a day out now from the start of the Corcoran’s Furniture & Carpets celebratory weekend at the business’ Cahersiveen store which is this year celebrating its 20th year in existence; to mark this milestone moment, owner Kieran Corcoran says he is looking to give back to the people of South Kerry.
Running from tomorrow Thursday October 24 right through the Bank Holiday weekend, the Cahersiveen store will be offering customers the chance to grab themselves a bargain in-store at the shop’s big anniversary sale as a thanks for all the loyal support that they have given to store over the last two decades.
“We intend on giving back to the people of South Kerry. Cahersiveen is where we started and we are going to have some major offers across all departments for our customers from this Thursday to Monday as a thanks for their loyalty over the years,” said Kieran, speaking to The Kerryman.
In addition, there are over €2,000 worth of vouchers to be won in store throughout the weekend. As for the official re-opening, there are rumours of a special – as of yet, still secret – guest who may be popping in to help with proceedings but you’ll have to pop in-store for yourself to find out.
Not only will there be special offers, this weekend will also see the unveiling of the store’s brand new revamped and re-furbished look, something that Kieran says has been in the pipeline for some time.
“We’re after doing a major, major re-vamp on the whole shop. It’s a total refurbishment of the entire shop so we’re looking forward to people seeing the new look. he continued.
Ultimately, Kieran says that this weekend is about celebrating not only the success of the shop, it’s a celebration of Cahersiveen as a whole. From his talented staff who continue to give their all every day, to his right-hand man PJ Sugrue who is this year celebrating his 15th year as manager of the Cahersiveen store, right down to every single customer over the last two decades – this weekend is an appreciative thank you to all of them.
Radio Kerry will broadcast live from the store on Friday from 3pm until 5:30 with the special guest cutting the ribbon at 4:30pm; everyone is welcome and there will be a food and wine reception along with face painting for the kids.
