THE Brehon Hotel and Angsana Spa opened its doors in 2004 with 125 bedrooms, diverse meeting places and a banqueting suite. Owned by the O’Donoghue family, the hotel has 130 full and part-time staff who are responsible for The Brehon’s success as they are a ‘wonderful, dedicated, enthusiastic and customer focussed team’. Within the hotel, the Danú Restaurant offers an AA Rosette dining experience while the Brehon Bar offers a more relaxed dining experience. Meanwhile, the flagship Angsana Spa is a have for physical, mental and spiritual renewal. The design and decorative inspiration for this award-winning hotel comes from its spectacular setting. The classical detailing of Killarney’s stately home, Muckross House, inspired the exterior. Inside, the dappled light and rich green hues of Killarney’s ancient oak forests instil a sense of calm. Last year, The Brehon made history by becoming the first business in the world to be accredited by the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT).
