O’Sullivan’s Bakery, Killorglin

-

IN 1952 Tom O’Sullivan started a much loved tradition, creating fresh bread and bracks for Kerry. Passed down through generations of O’Sullivan’s, their love for bread and bracks has continued through to today. A strong brand name has developed and they deliver fresh breads throughout the Kingdom. They use high quality ingredients and time honoured methods, producing everything from sliced pans to healthy spelt breads, low GI breads, bracks, baps and rolls, as well as traditional products like seed and butter loaves. They are market leaders in their area with the introduction of products and packaging, continuously keeping their consumers in mind. In the past 12 months O’Sullivans have acquired two of their distributors routes, expanding their business even further investing in both areas. The consumer is always at the forefront and they believe customer satisfaction as being key to the future success and continued growth. They have invested in a healthier range of products and their packaging has been adapted over the years to become more userfriendly, helping reduce waste. The O’Sullivan Bakery contributes to the economic, social and cultural life of their locality. They also invest in their business, building on greenfield site in 1997. They believe in ‘you shop local, we support local’. Helen O’Sullivan sits on many boards, volunteers with clubs and charities and the bakery supports charities, festivals and volunteer groups. When it comes to leading a business, O’Sullivan’s takes a leaf out of the many words of American author, speaker and pastor John C Maxwell: “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way”.
