SOCCER
Fixtures: Castlemaine United play host to Classic FC ‘B’ next Sunday, October 27th at 11:30am in Castlemaine in Denny Division 1B.
Mainebank take on Sneem Santos also on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00pm in Mounthawk Park, Tralee in Denny Division 2A.
There were no games for either side last weekend.
CASTLEMAINE COMMUNITY CENTRE
Activities: Monday’s: Ballroom Dancing (8:30-10:00pm). All are welcomeTuesday’s: Tuesday Group for Senior Citizens who will be collected by our community bus and taken home after having a 4 course meal at the centre with Bingo, Sing Song & Exercises. All welcome.
Wednesday’s: Tae Kwan Do in the Hall starts at 5:00pm. Contact Barry (087-9837252) for bookings or more information.
Thursday’s: Mother & Toddler Group which takes place between 10 - 11:30am.
Meals on wheels operates also on Monday, Wednesday & Friday’s.

CONGRATULATIONS
The community of Castlemaine sends its congratulations to Jonathan O’Connor (Brackhill, Castlemaine) & his partner Shauna Corcoran (Farrantoreen, Killorglin) who got married last Saturday, October 19th at the Brehon Hotel, Killarney. We wish them many years of happiness together. They will reside in Rockfield, Listry Co. Kerry.
JACK DUGGAN MONUMENT FUNDRAISING TABLE QUIZ
With the Bronze Full Life Size Jack Duggan Monument ready for installation in Castlemaine village in the coming weeks, a final push is on to raise a small bit more money to complete these works & cover any other associated costs with the end of the project.With this in mind, the Committee will be holding a Table Quiz on this Friday, October 25th in Knightlys Bar & Restaurant at 8:30pm. Tables of 3/4 are priced at €30 with Finger-Food & a Raffle also taking place on the night.
We would appeal to all members of the public both near and far to support this fundraiser if at all possible as we are almost ready to get the Monument put into place in the very near future so its the final push. Dillane will also be playing in Knightlys Bar again from 10 - late. There will also be Music in Griffins Bar on Sunday night.
30 YEARS ANNIVERSARY
Castlemaine United Soccer Club will celebrate their 30th Founding Anniversary on Saturday, November 30th at The Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Tralee marking three decades of Soccer in the village of Castlemaine from 1989 - 2019 for this club. Gates open at 7:00pm with the first race off at 7:50pm.
Tickets priced at €10 for Adults (Children are FREE) will be available from club representatives shortly in the local area. An important milestone to mark so the club hope the community and beyond will row in behind this event to mark a historic milestone. Mid Kerry O’Sullivan Cup Semi-FinalsResults: Milltown/ Castlemaine defeated Laune Rangers on Sunday last October 20th on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-12Keel hosted Glenbeigh/ Glencar in the other semi-final but came out on the losing side as they went down 1-12 to 1-10.The O’Sullivan Cup Final between Milltown/Castlemaine & Glenbeigh/Glencar will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, October 28th at 2:00pm (Venue to be confirmed).
