SYMPATHY

The death has taken place of Mary McCarthy (nee Lyons, Glenaneent­y, Ballymacel­ligott), Aglish, Ballyhar. The removal was from O’Connors Funeral Home to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ballyhar and after Requiem Mass on Saturday to Aglish Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her family, relatives and friends.

Sympathy is also extended to the family, relatives and friends of Dave O’Mahony, Ranaleen, Currow who died last week. May they rest in peace.

Mass will be in Firies on Saturday evening at 7.30 and in Ballyhar on Sunday morning at 10.00 as usual.

BALLYHAR DYNAMOS FC

TEAMS: On Saturday last our u12s travelled to Kenmare and secured an impressive 3-3 draw considerin­g we trailed by 3 goals into the second half. Anthony Cremin with one goal and a double strike by Harry o Connor including a late penalty secured the draw.Our u14s lost out at murt Scott park to MEK on a scoreline of 7-5 .We trailed 3-2 at half time with first half goals by Aaron o Sullivan and Michael o Sullivan. The game was tied at 5-5 entering the final stages with Fionn Coleman scoring twice and a goal from Daithi o Shea. The visitors added two late goals to secure the win. On the day Rian Brosnan, Colm o Sullivan, Fionn Coleman and Aaron o Sullivan played well.

Our u16s were defeated by Mastergeeh­a on a 4-0 scoreline. We trailed 3-0 at the break, Bryan McCarthy, Hugh Walsh and Colin o Callaghan put in good performanc­es.
