- BY FERGUS DENNEHY

IF you haven’t heard the music of band ‘Queenless Kings’ yet, then - once you’ve finished this article of course - stop what you’re doing, open up your Spotify and give them a listen.

Anyone who has seen these lads perform live will know what I’m talking about when I say that they’re the real deal.

The band is made up of Ryan Hurst, Robyn Clarke, Aaron Hutchinson and singer Michal Wagner, four childhood friends from Edenderry in Offaly; they have been based here in Kerry for the last number of years where they have garnered a huge following around the county, building up a reputation as being one of the best bands in Kerry, if nor further afield as well.

Now, fans will have a chance to see ‘Queenless Kings’ performing in the Greyhound Bar in Tralee on Halloween night next Thursday at 9pm in what is sure to be a cracking night of music for everyone.

The band were previously known as ‘Chapter 2’ and went through a name revamp at this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival.

The band have recently come under the management of Ger O’Sullivan and he said that the band are ready to deliver a night of great music next Thursday night.

“The Greyhound Bar is one of the unique Bars that support and accommodate original music events in Tralee. Down through the years the Greyhound Bar has supported a variety of original music artist events and ‘Queenless Kings’ are privileged to follow in the footsteps of those previous artists,” he said.

“If you haven’t heard ‘Queenless Kings’ yet, now is the time to do so so that that in a few years, you can say you were there,” Ger continued.

Admission on the night is €5 while costume entry is €2.

Following on from this, the lads will be taking to the stage at the much sought after Troubador Friday night slot at the annual Christie Hennessy Festival taking place in the Ashe Hotel on Friday November 1.
