Kingdom Kingpins to face off in Killorglin

THE Allianz Cumann na mBunscol football competitions Urban competitions will be decided this week with the finals scheduled for Austin Stack Park on Wednesday. The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Division 2, 3 and 4 finals are down for decision.

In the Division 2 Urban competition Scoil Mhuire Killorglin face Moyderwell in the first semi-final with the winners taking on the winners of the second semi-between St Johns Kenmare and Scoil Eoin Balloonagh at 6pm in Austin Stack Park on Wednesday.

The Division 3 Urban Final features Holy Family Rathmoe and Fossa. Holy Family defeated Scoil Réalt na Maidine Listowel in their semi-final last week and Fossa accounted for Gaelscoil Aogáin in the second semi-final. This final is scheduled for 5pm in Austin Stack Park.

In the Division 4 Urban championship Lissivigeen face North Kerry side Dromclough who are appearing in their first urban final and this promises to be a cracker. Lissivigeen defeated Listellick in their semi final last week while Dromclough overcame Faha.

The 6-teacher competition is at semi-final stage with the final scheduled for 7pm on Wednesday. In last week’s quarter-finals Cullina defeated Sliabh a Mhadra, Scoil Treasa Naofa, Kilflynn were defeated by Currow, Ó Brennan lost out to Scoil Íosagáin Ballybunion and Glenderry sucummed to Scoil Nuachabháil. The semi-final line out is as follows Scoil Nuachabháil face Cullina and Currow take on Scoil Íosagáin, Ballybunion.

The 4/5-teacher quarter-finals saw Kilmurry NS beat Tarbert NS 0-14 to 2-5, Glenbeigh NS beat Gneeveguilla NS 7-8 to 4-11, Scoil Bhríd, Loreto NS beat Scoil Saidhbhín Cahersiveen 4-13 to 5-8, and Scoil Iognáid An Daingean beat St. Finian’s Waterville 9-9 to 4-10.

The 4/5-teacher semi-finals sees Kilmurry NS take on Glenbeigh NS and Scoil Bhríd, Loreto NS face Scoil Iognáid Rís, An Daingean, with the finals for all the rural competitions scheduled for after the mid-term break.

In the 4/5-teacher Shield quarter finals Scoil Saidhbhín take on Scoil Eoin Baiste, Lios Póil in Killorglin Tuesday 11am while Gneeveguilla NS will face Tarbert NS at a Tralee venue this Thursday at 11am.

In the 3-teacher competition is down to semi-final stage. Fenit accounted for Knocknagashel in their quarter-final and will face Moyvane in the semi-final. In the second semi-final Tousist, who defeated Filemore, will take on East Kerry champions Knockanes.

In the 2-Teacher semi finals Raheen will face Loughfouder and champions Scoil Náisiúnta an Chlochán take on Kilcolony with the final scheduled for after mid term break.
