CHRISTMAS TREES: A LIGHT TO REMEMBER VIRTUAL TREE

Do you want to tell someone who has lost a loved one you’re thinking of them this Christmas. Light a candle in their honour on the Kerry Hospice Virtual TREE and you can also choose to send a card to the family to let them know you are thinking of them this Christmas. The TREE is live untill the 31st of December and you can dedicate a light up untill then and also add a tribute to the live tribute book.

To get your light on our virtual TREE just go and click on Lighttoremember.com

To coincide with the Virtual TREE we also have a light up ceremony and Kerry Hospice Foundation / University Hospital Kerry / Kerry Community /Primary Care Services are coming together for Light to Remember Cermony.

This year’s Light to Remember Ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 8th from 5 to 6 pm. The Light to Remember Christmas tree will be at the main entrance of UHK. There will be refreshments provided on the evening in the main reception area. Candles also provided by the Kerry Hospice Foundation will be lit during the ceremony.

The UHK choir are providing the entertainment. A surprise guest will officially light the tree. We are delighted also that

Deirdre Walsh from Radio Kerry will be the MC on the night. KHF will be also continue to sell lights for the virtual tree on the night. There were many people in attendance last year who had experienced the Palliative Care Service throughout the years and it was lovely to see many familiar faces.

EVENTS COMING UP

Poetry by the Pulpit will take place on the 28th of November at 8pm in St John Theatre in the Square in Listowel at 8pm. This event is organised by our Ambassador Deirdre Walsh and she is trying to raise funds to upgrade an existing bathroom in the unit. Tickets can be got by ringing St John Theatre on 06822566. Plenty of Kerry personalities involved on the night and it promises to be a great one.
