Give the gift of ‘Killarney on Ice’ this Christmas...

-

GET your skates on is the message if you plan on spending some time in Killarney this Christmas where ‘Killarney on Ice’ is back bigger and better than ever for 2019. It opens on Friday, November 29 and runs until Sunday, January 5 which means there’s plenty of time to arrange a session on the ice.

Following its huge popularity since 2015, the people behind Killarney on Ice are excited to announce that the 600 square metre ice rink under the marquee will once again be located in the Beech Road car park, beside the tourist office.

A Christmas gift voucher for the person in your life, who you feel will enjoy an ice skating session, is a fantastic idea. Gift vouchers are available again this year from the ice rink box office. This would make a very special present for the kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends.

Schools, youth clubs and sports teams across the county already use the group booking discount rate to plan a session on Kerry’s only festive ice rink. This means that the normal opening times can be extended during the day to accommodate school groups.

“Value for money is key,” says Tim O’ Donoghue, promoter of Killarney on Ice. “Which is why we have special family and group rates. We also have loyalty cards so be sure to ask at the box office”. The rink will be open daily from 5pm on selected weekdays and from 11am on Saturdays & Sundays and during school holidays. Be sure to check opening hours on the website before you travel. Sessions last for one hour and tickets can be booked online at: www.killarneyonice.com.

“Ice skating is lots of fun, easily picked up, and is great exercise for all the family. We also welcome birthday parties. There is a shop with refreshments and hot beverages with seating for spectators; the crepes and hot chocolate is also a highlight!” Tim added.

Helmets and skate aids are available for novice skaters with double-bladed skates to help young children. For further information and group bookings, please contact Killarney On Ice at 0857400 366. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. It promises to be another wonderful Christmas in Killarney, so come down and enjoy Killarney on Ice, ‘we would love to see you there!’
