DENNY PREMIER A Castleisland 3 Tralee Dynamos 0

CASTLEISLAND move two points clear at the top of the table with a good win over Tralee Dynamos. The final scoreline flatters the home side a bit but they were deserving winners at the end.

Dynamos flew out of the blocks and should have taken an early lead but Stephen Bartlett saved well from Lorcan Seymore. Gradually

Castleisland got up to speed with the game and it was nip and tuck until the 15th minute when Stephen McCarthy scored a tap in goal. They dominated the next 20 minutes but Dynamos took over for last 10 minutes of the half but failed to trouble the Castleisland goalkeeper. Aidan O’Callaghan doubled Castleisland’s lead on the hour mark.

Both sides created chances after this but they were unable to get past the respective goalkeepers Stephen Bartlett and

David Hennessy. Mike Hanifin scored Castleisland’s third goal in injury-time.

DENNY PREMIER B Killorglin 2 Camp United 3

KILLORGLIN were hoping to end Camps unbeaten record at the Dragons Den on Saturday night and they started off in great fashion with Lee Carey putting them ahead after 16 minutes with a superb strike.

However Camp struck back just before the break with a Jason Hickson goal.

The West Kerry side kept the momentum going in the second half and goals in the 57th and 68th minutes by Gearoid O’Shea and Andrew Finn put them in charge of proceedings.

Killorglin did not give up the chase and a goal from sub Eoin Clifford made it a nervy finish for Camp but they held out comfortably to record a win which put them 4 points ahead at the top of the table.
