Listowel’s success is on an upward trajectory...

-

THE traders of Listowel are extremely grateful to the customers who support them throughout the year and Christmas is an ideal time to take stock of the people and places that matter. By shopping and supporting locally owned businesses, you are creating and maintaining jobs; the kind that every town relies on. This produces a wider ‘feel good’ factor with many knock-on benefits for a cross-section of other community led initiatives.

Listowel is a town whose graph is on an upward trajectory in recent years. Its streetscapes and amenities have never been better for locals and visitors alike. The annual Tidy Towns awards is evidence of the people’s pride of place in their locality. Listowel is now a name associated with some of Ireland’s great festivals - Listowel Writers’ Week, Listowel Food Fair, Revival, Listowel Races and many more locally run events continue to put the town on the map nationally and globally.

Chairperson of Listowel Business & Community Alliance, Rose Wall, said that 2019 has been a bumper year for the town in both business and community with funding for new projects confirmed including Listowel Food Hub and the launch of the town’s new branding and website listowel.ie.

“Right now Listowel Business & Community Alliance is working on plans for 2020 and will continue to deliver further projects for the Listowel area with the continued support of its members. If you would like to become a member of Listowel Business & Community Alliance please get in touch at listowelalliance@gmail. com,” said Rose. Listowel Business & Community Alliance would like to wish the people of North Kerry a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
