GARVEY’S SuperValu in Listowel will host its annual Christmas Food Fair on Thursday, December 5 between 6pm and 9pm. It promises to be another celebration of all that’s wonderful about local produce and is an ideal opportunity for customers to interact and gain an understanding of where their food is sourced and prepared. Many of Garvey’s local suppliers will be there on the night to meet customers and taste the wide range of produce available. There will also be some special offers available.

Well-known local culinary enthusiast, Lizzy Lyons, will provide a cooking demo. In addition to this there will be around 20 suppliers offering their tempting food to customers in a ‘food tasting’ session. A festive atmosphere is guaranteed and the store will have Carol singing, a visit from Santa and face painting for children. Garvey’s SuperValu is proud of its in-house produce and customers will have an opportunity to sample some culinary (and festive flavoured) delights such as mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas cake.

“It’s an event that works well as more people are interested in knowing where their food is sourced and produced. Customers will have an opportunity to sample some of our own in-store products from the deli and bakery range,” said Paul O’Connor, Manager of Listowel Garvey’s SuperValu.

“An event such as this is an opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ to all our loyal customers who support us throughout the year. Our customers can always expect that bit extra in terms of quality and choice when shopping in Garvey’s,” Paul said.
