SYMPATHY

The death has taken place of Margaret (Peg) O’Donoghue (nee Fell), Farranfore Village. The removal was from O’Connors Funeral Home to St Gertrude’s Church, Firies and after Requiem Mass on Wednesday to New Kilnanare Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her husband John and family, to her sister Nancy, relatives and friends.

The death has taken place of Dr Maureen Daly (nee Comer), Farranfore Village. The removal was from her residence on Saturday morning to St Gertrude’s Church followed by Requiem Mass. Burial was in Aglish Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her family, sister Dodie, brother Jerry, relatives and friends.

Sympathy is also extended to Richard Sherwood and family, Farranfore on the death of his father, John R, Wexford; to Margaret Kelly, Pairc Eamonn, Farranfore on the death of her sister, Helen Keating, Tralee and Kilmoyley

To Liam Galwey and family, Gortshanaf­a on the death of his wife, Kathleen (nee Mannix);

Also to Peg O’Gorman, Kilkneedan, Ballyhar on the death of her brother, Thomas Brosnan, Headford; and to the family, relatives and friends of Eamonn Kerins, Kilfalney, Currans. May they rest in peace.

Congratula­tions and best wishes to Norma O’Sullivan, Leamnaguil­lea and Ciaran Murphy, Fenit who were married in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ballyhar also on Friday. COLLECTION : The annual St Vincent de Paul church gate collection will take place on the weekend of 7th/8th December.

BALLYHAR DYNAMOS FC

TEAMS - last saturday saw two of our club teams take the field at Murt Scott park to represent the club,the U16s defeated mek galaxy on a scoreline of 2-1.The game was tied at 1-1 at the break with Charlie Keating scoring our first half goal.Charlie then gave us the lead and the win with a wonderful strike from 18 yards towards the end of the game.. On the day it was a good squad performanc­e that got us over the line with Bryan Mccarthy,Hugh Walsh,Declan o Connor,Padraig Fell, Stephen Palmer and Cian o Shea playing well.

In the afternoon our Youths were defeated 5-0 by an Impressive Kilorglin side. We trailed 3-0 at the break but credit to our side we kept playing with purpose, pride and passion until the end. Cian Ring was superb in goals with John Power, Michael Brosnan, Josh Mccarthy, Chris Palmer, James o Leary and Daren Deniel giving it their all.

The Youths now have 5 of there 12 league games played so the season is progressin­g well.

The U10s played away to Tralee Dynamos on Saturday where there were plenty of goals scored and saved by stars of the future for both clubs.
